This time Cinema Saviors have been called upon by our government, who have developed technology that can bring deceased actors back from the past, but the tech is very expensive. To offset those costs we will be rebooting the '78 classic horror film HALLOWEEN in order to help fund the program with the box office proceeds! Welcome, welcome, welcome to this special edition of John Wesley Norton's Boomcast. And I am here tonight with the Cinema Saviors, Mr. Chad Weeks and Mr. Clint Shaffer from the Mirko Movies Podcast. How you guys been? Oh, doing wonderful. Happy to be back here, John. Real, real good, John. Once again, our country needs us, gentlemen. As you as you know, this is the third time we've been asked to take part in this ultra top secret mission. If it's so top secret, you may wonder why I'm making it public on this boomcast. The answer is I don't have an answer. Um they just no one's told me I couldn't do it. So here we are. We're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02It's always better to ask for uh beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.
SPEAKER_04You know, transparency with the public. That's that's what we need, you know. They they need to know that we're trying our best. Correct.
SPEAKER_03The mission, of course, is designated Resurrection Recast. The government, if you were not aware, has invented new technology to reach into the past and pluck actors from the past to avoid any paradoxes. These actors must have already passed away and are no longer with us. To offset the costs of this program, a feature film will be remade starring these resurrected actors, and the box office receipts will be used to offset the cost. All right, so we're all on the same page with that, right? Yeah, yeah. Got everybody got everybody caught up. So, as you were aware, fellas, this is the third time we've been asked to do this. Uh, the first recasting was for the very popular space fantasy movie Star Wars. Which was episode 18. And unfortunately, George Lucas put the kibosh on that one, so that one's not happening. And last time, the second time we did this, we recast the original cast of the classic program Star Trek. Space, a final frontier. Which was episode 32, and that was fun. That was fun. I'm a Star Trek guy.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I'm still upset that we don't get to see John Belushi and Robin Williams as as R2D2 and C3PO. So man, you ain't kidding. That's it's a travesty after we after we put that out there for the world to hear.
SPEAKER_03I feel like the world really needed to see it. That could have been the single greatest thing in cinema. You know?
SPEAKER_18Could have.
SPEAKER_03That's how epic that would have been. Well, however, due to the poor reception of anything Star Trek lately, the government's plans for that project have also been deemed, and I quote, fucking stupid. Okay. So they're not doing the Star Trek thing either. Uh so this time, this time around, they have asked us to recast John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic Halloween. And I assume that everyone's familiar with this film. Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Clint's Clint once referred to this movie as a comedy. I did, yes. So we're looking to see if uh if uh John Belushi and uh get casting this one then.
SPEAKER_03Well, let's see. Um there are there are ten roles for us, fellows, to recast. Okay. And these roles are going to be the role of Lori Strode, which was famously played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the original, uh Dr. Loomis, which was played by Donald Pleasance. Linda was played by PJ Soles. Annie was played by Nancy Keys, uh, or Nancy Loomis, goes by both names. Sheriff Brackett was Charles Cyphers, who I've always liked. I've always liked Charles Cyphers every time he showed up in anything. Really cool. Uh Tommy Wallace, the young boy who was being babysat by Lori Strode, was played by Brian Andrews. His sister, Lindsay Wallace, was played by Kyle Richards. Judith Myers was played by Sandy Johnson. That's a small role, but pivotal role. And then we're gonna cast eight-year-old Michael Myers, originally played by Will Sandlin, and 23-year-old Michael Myers, played by Nick Castle. Okay, so those are the 10 roles. But let me let me tell you. Boy, this is a list, boy. This is an interesting list. Here are the deceased actors that the government says they have access to. Um Elvis Presley, Brittany Murphy, again. I think sh I think we considered her for Star Wars, I think. She was on this list. Yeah, I think you're right. Wasn't I know we think we were we've we've had her on the list before. Britney Murphy, Dana Play-Doh from Different Strokes, Heather O'Rourke, who played the little girl in Poltergeist, uh, Corey Haim, Erin Moran, Happy Days, Dennis Farina, Farah Fawcett, Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched, Raymond Burr, Don Wells from Gilligan's Island, Natalie Woods, Sharon Tate, Mickey Rooney, and River Phoenix. Those are the actors. Uh that's an eclectic mix.
SPEAKER_04That's this is a good a good mix, and I I think I think we have a good movie to to bring this cast together, though. I think this is gonna this is gonna come out well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I think some of these were uh kind of you could put anybody there, yeah. I I pretty open to uh suggestion on. Others, it's like, well, this is a natural this is a natural one here. This one yeah this one feels right.
SPEAKER_03So I'm kinda excited to hear what you guys think. So I agree. Some of the some of these are actually pretty easy, some of them I had to think about, but um well let's just let's just start with the Lori Strode character, uh, which really launched Jamie Lee Curtis's career in the in the right direction.
SPEAKER_02John, I don't want to tell you how to do your job here, but uh would you want to start at the at the bottom and work your way up? That way it builds to the Lori Strode on this one. I mean, I'm just throwing out a suggestion here because I think some of these are kind of like natural, and then we can but I mean like I said, whatever you want to do. I mean, you're you're no, no.
SPEAKER_03If you guys want to try that, let's let's try that. So if so we're we're going for the big guns first off, we need to cast Michael Myers. You know, the iconic Michael Myers who has stood the test of time in horror cinema and uh played by Nick Castle originally. So, since uh Chad, you want to open your mouth? Um how about you come uh out of this list? Who are you thinking? I mean, who could pull off Michael Myers?
SPEAKER_02It's so I actually I'm glad you did because I had a good this is one that I had a good feeling about. Um I think that River Phoenix is kind of the natural choice here. I crossed an important artifact, it belongs in a museum. I watched the uh Halloween again to prep for this, and I felt like Michael Myers was a little bit quicker in this film than he was in some of the sequels and whatnot. I also uh Dr. Loomis quoted him as being inhumanly patient. I think that River Phoenix has the presence to be able to pull that off at uh pull that off as a as a silent actor, you know, not really using any uh I just think he'd be a good fit for this one, but I'd open to suggestions. What do you guys got?
SPEAKER_03It's it's it's not exactly a thankless role, but it is a masked role, you know. Um and for that reason, I went with, believe it or not, Elvis Presley.
SPEAKER_12So what are we waiting for for Michael Myers?
SPEAKER_03Because I know Elvis Presley wanted to be uh he wanted to be an actor, but they they continued they wouldn't let him do a movie unless he sang in it, and it was a frustration for him. It was a frustration for him, and and that's the only reason. I thought, you know what, Elvis Presley might be interested in doing something completely different, and maybe if they can throw him a song or two, you know, why not?
SPEAKER_02These singing Michael Myers, just what everyone wanted.
SPEAKER_03Well, you never know. I mean, you know, yeah, yeah. The who knows? Uh, you know, we don't have to make the exact same film. All right, so we got a we got a vote for River Phoenix, who is boy, I tell you, what a tragedy. It would have been great to see what that guy was capable of. Just look at his looking at his brother, Joaquin.
SPEAKER_02That's exactly right. I started looking at his at his brother in this thing, and it's like it's like what could have been. Um he had great acting chops at such a young age.
SPEAKER_03He sure did. So we have a vote for River Phoenix. We have a vote for Elvis Presley. Clint. What are you thinking?
SPEAKER_04So, John, uh, it's it's funny you say uh say Elvis Presley because uh I too had Elvis Presley uh as Michael Myers at age 23.
SPEAKER_16We call Elvis Presley.
SPEAKER_04I just think his his physical presence. Uh I also think that there's an aspect of uh maybe there's a chance to bring out a little bit of his charisma even with a mask, yet he's still just like bringing that that iconic silent evil that uh that is is kind of behind there. So I I went with Elvis. I think that he'd be uh a perfect fit for uh for Michael Myers here. Nice.
SPEAKER_02When you were talking about you were leading up to that, and you're like, he's gonna bring out and maybe there's a chance he can bring out some of his, and you said charisma, which whatever, Clint, but but I thought you were gonna say bring out his guitar, bring out his guitar, play a song or two.
SPEAKER_04I thought we I just I I just think you know he's he's got a he's got a he's got a charisma, he's got a good presence. Like I think uh he can put that that mask and the overalls on, and I think uh I think he would just rock it out pun intended.
SPEAKER_03When he was young, he did have uh an interesting physicality. You know, um in the young days. Yeah, so I mean that that may work for this. Yeah, I'm happy about that. All right, Elvis Presley. Starting out weird, but all right. Yeah Elvis Presley is Michael Myers. We are already we are off the tracks.
SPEAKER_04This is awesome.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, okay, all right. So I uh that that helps out though for the future because I I made a mistake. So yeah, this will this worked out nicely.
SPEAKER_03I'll go next. Michael Myers at age eight. I did plug in River Phoenix for this. Uh that's what I was saying. That's for that's what I was saying.
SPEAKER_02It's like Yep. I actually put one actor on here twice, and I think that River Phoenix as an eight-year-old Michael Myers, uh, I could see him, you know, uh in his I don't know how old he was in Stand By Me, probably like 12, but uh yeah. I'm sure an eight-year-old one of him can be stoic holding that butcher knife and stuff. So I'm down for River Phoenix here.
SPEAKER_04It's actually funny because uh John, we're uh we're hitting on the on the same piece here because uh that's who I had uh plugged in was River Phoenix. And I and I that's that's exactly it. I was thinking Stand By Me. I think if you look at that role, I think he'd be uh be a perfect fit in that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's uh he he was a great child actor, you know. Uh Stand By Me is a great movie. Oh you know incredible movie. I haven't seen it in a long time. Kind of makes me want to see it again. But all those guys did great, you know, they were all really good. Who was it? Will Wheaton? Uh Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, and what was the other O'Connell? Yeah, it was O'Connell. Yep, you're right. You're right. Yeah. Very cool. Alright, so this next role is a small role. It's the uh kind of the she doesn't last long. She just gets she has sex and she gets butchered.

SPEAKER_03That is the role, basically, of Judith Myers, originally played by Sandy Johnson. On this list, uh Clint, what do you think? Let's you go first on this one.
SPEAKER_04I I went with uh Elizabeth Montgomery.
SPEAKER_09Bewitched, do you feel that you have now been typecast after four years? Oh no. No, I don't think so. Um I'm never quite on I suppose typecasting is something that really, you know, you think of a certain type of actress for a certain type of part. I d I don't really think you're No, I don't is the answer to that.
SPEAKER_04But I thought uh I thought she'd be uh a good fit for this. Uh, you know, as I think uh you you said uh bewitched, right? Uh uh bring in uh bring in a little bit of that look and that glamour, and uh I think she'd be uh a good fit for uh for Judith Myers.
SPEAKER_03So she would be a younger, you'd have to find the younger Elizabeth Montgomery.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Probably, right? Hey, you know, I just I I forgot to mention this. Now for according to the the guidelines that they sent, like the tech specs for this technology, you we can get an actor of any age as long as they were on film of that age.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So man, I'm I really don't know how this technology works. I mean, it must be powered by cinema. You know what I mean? Yeah because uh there's I don't I don't get it. I just don't get it. But anyway, if so if someone appears young in a film, we can reach back and grab that version of them. Um all right, excellent. So that's a vote for Elizabeth Montgomery, who is really cool. I'll just who's it? Oh, um, I think Chad. I think Chad goes next.
SPEAKER_02I kind of scrambled on this one. I put down uh Natalie Wood just because I feel like she deserves to be in here, and I didn't have her cast any other position.
SPEAKER_01And I shall insist on the right to have as many love affairs as I please.
SPEAKER_02Um, but I am open to complete suggestion on this one. So whatever you guys are up for, I would uh I I do like Clint's call there. I have trouble picturing her as that that age range uh or that type of role, but not saying I dislike it.
SPEAKER_03Well, I I went with uh Don Wells.
SPEAKER_16Seaweed shampoo for lustrous hair, fresh blackberries for darkening the lashes, powdered hibiscus for ruby lips, and coconut oil for a baby soft skin.
SPEAKER_09Just add a little vinegar and I can enter the contest as a Caesar salad.
SPEAKER_03For no real reason, other than I had already cast, like I said, we're starting at the bottom of the list instead of the top. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But we're playing Chad's rules, not not John's rules. Yeah, we're playing by Chad's rules tonight. I'm not sure why I went that route either. I'm like, hey, John, don't do what you want to do, do what I want to do. Yeah. Anyway.
SPEAKER_03But uh I I so I went Don Wells. I just I'd for some reason I'd like to see her get murdered on screen. It's such against such against type, you know, because she was Marianne in Gillian's Island, and she really just did not she just really couldn't overcome that, I don't think. You know what I mean? Like so many of those TV stars of the day. Anyway, that's that's who I picked. Elizabeth Montgomery, Natalie Woods, and I can be talked off Don Wells, to be honest. If I had to choose between the two, I a young Natalie Wood, I think, would probably be who I would go for, Natalie Woods.
SPEAKER_02And I actually kind of like the Don Wells idea now that you mention it. Um I feel like it is kind of uh such a departure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That could be interesting.
SPEAKER_03Because you've got little Mary Ann who was extremely attractive and cute in Gilligan's Island. Uh way more than Ginger, I thought. When I was a kid. I don't know why. I was a Marianne guy. I don't know about you guys. So yeah, seeing her have sex and get murdered, yeah. There. That'll fulfill a childhood uh dream.
SPEAKER_02There you go. There you go. This project is is is nothing else fulfilling childhood dreams. There we go. All right, great.
SPEAKER_03I like that idea. Okay, so now we got the two children, starting with Lindsay Wallace, uh, played by Kyle Richards. Um I think do I go first in this one? Or does I think so? So I just went ahead and plugged in Heather O'Rourke. I thought that was a fairly obvious choice. She was age appropriate. And uh I she and she was good. She was good. Yep. And you know, so that's that's who I picked Heather O'Rourke. I would like to see her come back. It was that was a tragedy. And uh just give her another shot. That's who I thought.
SPEAKER_04I thought that was the the shoe-in for this role was was her. That's uh Heather.
SPEAKER_02That's who I had uh who I had as well on this. Yeah, I I agree. Her and her and uh Tommy both I think were pretty easy castings, especially with this one. Uh re-watching it again, the girl spends 90% of her time watching the TV. Um and uh it's like I can hear her saying that role. Uh we're just swapping out a uh brunette for a bro a blonde here. So yeah, that's all. That's all.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I like that. Okay, good. That was easy. Heather of work. Um how about Tommy Wallace, the young boy? What do you think, Clint? I I I went with Corey Haim.
SPEAKER_10You're going out for pizza.
SPEAKER_14Well, it's just a suggestion.
SPEAKER_10If you're so depressed, how come you're eating pizza?
SPEAKER_14Maybe I should just go home, eh?
SPEAKER_10No. Go eat pizza. Don't let me spoil your depression.
SPEAKER_04Is is who I uh who I put in uh put in with this. So God dang. Me too. Yep. Corey Hain.
SPEAKER_03Oh man, this is going fast. Too easy on this one. No d no discussion needed. No, Corey does.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Those those were yeah, they fell into place. I tell you, have you ever have you guys ever seen License to Drive? With Corey Haym and Corey Feldman. I don't think so, no. It is, it's one of those 80s Corey movies. And it is really good. I really like License to Drive. As a matter of fact, that's my I think that's my favorite Corey Haym film other than Lost Boys. Really? You know. Um Lost Boys is uh an unqualified classic, you know. It is, it is. Um, but license to drive, if you ever get if you're ever in the mood for one of those, you know, try to relive your youth kind of movies like I do all the time these days, uh, License to Drive is pretty good. He's really good in it, too. It's another sad story. We don't need to get into it now, but I tell you, he was he went through the ringer, that guy. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_04You know, what your your comment around the Lost Boys, like, I mean, wouldn't that be like a cult classic at this point? Like, I mean, that that would have to be uh easily uh very popular.
SPEAKER_03The saxophone player is a cult classic at this point. Why does everybody bring up this frickin' saxophone player?
SPEAKER_02Because it was very un it was unprovoked. It was unprovoked, it was completely out of nowhere, and you've got a skirtless muscle dude playing the saxophone all sweaty like that. No, what do what happened?
SPEAKER_03What do we out of all the cool things in that movie? How could that be the best part? Which it it is. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, it's a great film. You know, another thing we've that we haven't mentioned Kiefer Sutherland playing in in both this one and Stand By Me. He did awesome. Oh, right. In those two films, too. And I feel like we'd be uh yeah. Yeah, he's great. We need to mention him in those. Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_04It is funny though, like how different uh, you know, there's a a lot of examples uh in uh in film like where a random line that you would never think would be like the writers never would have thought that it would be the best line of the movie all of a sudden becomes like the most memorable line, you know? And and a lot of times it's like it might be like uh you know something completely made up by the actor at the time that was just thrown in, and it's like that becomes the iconic scene at that point. And it's just kind of funny because from a from a writer's perspective, I I don't think like I would bet, and maybe John, yeah, I'd like your your thoughts on this, but you probably have like an idea of like, oh, this is gonna be the scene, you know, like this is the one that'll captivate them or that'll you know be the most exciting or the funniest or whatever. And a lot of times the audience just kind of picks and chooses their own.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's it's probably a combination of the performance and just circumstance on set, you know, that something happens. Like when when someone, you know, like if I think of Aliens, say one of my favorite movies of all time, right? Out of all the great stuff in that movie, the first thing I always think about is just Bill Paxton's line readings.
SPEAKER_18Good ready, man. Check it out. And the ultimate badass. State of the badass art.
SPEAKER_03Game over, man. Always. Game over, man. That kind of stuff, you know? It goes. Although my favorite is when uh he's cracking up and how long after we're declared overdue can we expect a rescue?
SPEAKER_00Seventeen days.
SPEAKER_17Seventeen days. Hey man, I don't want to rain on your parade. We're not gonna last 17 hours. Those things are gonna come in here just like they did before, and they're gonna come in here and they're gonna come in here and they're gonna get us.
SPEAKER_05This little girl survived longer than that with no weapons and no training. Right? Why don't you put her in charge? You better just start dealing with it, Hudson. You know, that kind of thing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Just great, you know. I don't know, man. But I'm I'm kind of like you, Chad. I I I'm a I'm a line guy. I live with the what I remember most of movies is great lines. Absolutely. Very dialogue-driven stuff. So yeah. All right, excellent. So that was easy. Corey Haim plays Tommy Wallace. Uh now, this is interesting. Sheriff Brackett, originally played by Charles Cifers. There's um several people on here. I picked one. Um I don't know who's going first. I think Chad is. Uh who would be a good sheriff character for Halloween?
SPEAKER_02So Chad. So four four out of the next five here, it's gonna be hard to talk me out of, and I'm gonna pound the table on these. So but Dennis Farina seemed like such an awesome choice for this role. 86 carrots.
SPEAKER_00Where? London. London. London. London? Yes. London. You know, fish, chips, couple of tea, bad food, worse weather, merry fucking poppins, London.
SPEAKER_03I agree. Uh Dennis Verena is who I picked. He would be uh probably a little bit more aggressive as a character, probably. Yes, right? A little bit more angry. Yeah. Um I like Dennis Farina. I've always liked him. So I I mean, I agree. Dennis Farina, that's who I chose as the sheriff.
SPEAKER_04So here's the thing. We we we all agree because uh because here's the thing with uh with him. He is actually a ex-Cicago detective. He is uh before he was an actor. So like if we're going to cast a sheriff, why not pick somebody who was a Chicago PD detective? Like go go put him in there. And some of his roles, like he's done a lot of the uh crime thriller roles, right? Uh throughout his career. Although one of his uh best roles for me, uh it's probably just because it's one of my favorite movies, is uh Snatch. Like he played so right in that movie.
SPEAKER_03So I'm I'm very happy this has fallen in into line. Uh Dennis Farina, yeah. To me, he was my top choice easily. All right, excellent. Well, man, oh man. Okay, now we get to three ladies, the three um de facto female leads. One of them, uh Annie.
SPEAKER_15Linda, Lori, why didn't you wait for me? We did. I'm never smiling again. Paul dragged me into the boys' locker room, exploring uncharted territory. Totally charted.
SPEAKER_03That's and Annie gets strangled in a car, which I really like that scene because I think it's the first time I saw that particular type of scene where she gets into the car and then has to wipe away perspiration from the windshield as if because someone's in the car breathing.
SPEAKER_02That is so clever because she came. Well, she went back in to get her keys, went back in to get her keys because the door was locked, and then she comes back out there and the door wasn't locked, and she just gets in and all of a sudden she just she puts her finger up on the on the windshield and it's got that fog in the I'm like, this is so clever. And um, that is one of those scenes that goes under the the uh radar so much, but that is that is art right there, and I love that. So yeah, I geeked out about that scene a little bit today. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, from this list, who are we thinking? Uh we've got several age-appropriate ladies on this list. Let's see, who's going first? Chad, you just want to take a crack at this?
SPEAKER_02I I I do just because uh I think, again, I I pictured this gal and Dennis Farina working together. Uh I actually Googled it to see if they did. They did do one film together. Uh uh, I think it was like on the streets of New York or something like that. I've never heard of it, never seen it. But I think that with Dennis Farina, as you said, being a little bit more aggressive and this gal being a little bit more playful, like Annie was, but also a little bit uh, I don't know, uh, I don't want to say promiscuous, but a little bit more uh I'm thinking Sin City roles, that sort of thing. I can't get sure I can't get Britney Murphy in Sin City out of my head.
SPEAKER_11Forget it, man. You can bring in that door all night if you want to. There is no way in the hell I'm letting you in.
SPEAKER_17I can't believe you're doing this to me, Shelly.
SPEAKER_02And like I loved her role in that film so much, and I think that if she brought a little bit of that juice to this film uh as as uh as Annie, I I loved it. I I love the thought of it.
SPEAKER_04So um yeah, I really, really like Brady Murphy in this one. I don't hate that uh it's not who I it's not who I had selected, but uh I I I I can see where you're going with that. Yeah. I had uh I had Sharon Tate.
SPEAKER_16Get out of the car. Your hands in the air, please. Wait just for identification.
SPEAKER_01Wait just a minute. Just a minute. I'm Freya Carlson from the Danish Tourist Bureau. Oh, for heaven's sakes, put that silly gun away.
SPEAKER_04Plugged in here and uh and trying to find like I don't know, I think she has like that cool best friend kind of energy that she could end up bringing to this. So uh a little bit uh sarcastic yet uh also also sweet. So I think uh I think Sharon Tate would play play an excellent role.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure she would. I did, however, pick Britney Murphy for this. The roles of Annie and Linda are a little bit more uh like you said, they're they're playful, they're a little bit sexier, you know, and there's they're sassier, right? And when when I when I think Britney Murphy, I do think sassy. I don't know why, but I just do. Absolutely. Um it looks like Brittany Murphy. I can't believe how this has fallen into place.
SPEAKER_04Okay, yeah. Um we we have not had one where we're like taking a stand yet, you know, like we've kind of all just been just kind of pushed, you know, we're kind of just like accepting, you know, because I was as soon as you said that, as soon as you said Britney Murphy, I'm like, I should have I should have gone with Britney Murphy on this. Like, like I I wanted to redo my list right there.

SPEAKER_03Not just horror movies, but stripes, you know, anything, anything that she was in. Oh, she was in stripes. So who on this list do you think we could? I don't know if we could get better than PJ Souls, to be honest. She was amazing, but we'll try. Uh the role of Linda. I think I go first this time. I just picked Dana Plato.
SPEAKER_12Now, Arnold, the most important thing about acting is to be able to project yourself into another character. Method acting can help you do that. Oh, really? How does it work? Uh well, one way is to pretend you're something outrageous. Like the other day in class, we all pretended we were dogs. We're doing Romeo and Juliet, not Lassie come home.
SPEAKER_03Not that I'm that familiar with her work other than other than different strokes, but she it's another one that we lost too soon to uh unfortunate circumstances. So I wanted to try to bring her back. And uh she was no stranger to nudity. So and the that this is the one new nudity role, the role of Linda, and Dana Plato, the what she got mixed up in later on in her career, which was sad, but unfortunate. But I thought, you know, Dana Plato, I would I'd give her a shot. You know, that's about all I got to say about it, though. How about you, Clint?
SPEAKER_04All right. So, you know, I you said like this was like the uh I think the only uh uh nude scene, right? You know, or you know, yeah, it's the most uh lascivious of the scenes, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And uh I I'm gonna go with the uh the one person on this list who is the uh you know carefree party girl vibes, uh kind of cheerleader vibe here. And I I went with Ferrafacid with I'm gonna change my mind.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna change my mind. Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_08Arch your back as much as possible. That's right. Now bend your knees, raising your left heel while you bit. Are you sure this is necessary? Well, it's the only defense you got. Keeps you away from the customers and the customers' hands off you. Okay, okay now. Turn around, let's do it from the other side. Only this time with a smile. Oh. On second thought, maybe you better forget the smile. You're supposed to tantalize, not devastate.

SPEAKER_04So you're absolutely right. I just I feel like she's like a perfect fit for this role. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02I'm I'm I'm glad you guys came up to that conclusion because literally on my list here I have Faraposs at Dana Plato, uh, and I don't care which one, but I thought I I think like that Dana Plato could be the funny role, the humor aspect of it. Uh Farafosset though does uh elude the type of behavior and that sort of thing too. What was it you called it there? John lucidity? Like lascivious. She works.
SPEAKER_03She's she's got the most sex appeal of pretty much anyone on this list. Yeah, yeah. And I don't know why I wasn't thinking about that either, because I usually think about that all the time. Um but um tell my mom not to listen to this one. Yeah, she might not. I mean, with the government telling us to fuck off or whatever, whatever it was they said. I mean I don't know about you guys, but I feel a little used and abused by the US government.
SPEAKER_04I just don't like our hard work going down the drain. You know, we put a lot of time and energy into this, you know. I want to see this kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02This you know, this this reminds me of uh Apollo 13 uh in the movie Apollo 13 where uh they're up there in space and uh Tom Hanks' mom is sitting there and they're like, Well, where's the well I can't find the feed? Where's the feed? They promised me it would be on this channel or whatever, you know. Yeah, where's yeah, exactly. Where's my jimmy? They took but they told me it would be on this channel, you know, at this time or whatever. Right. And it's like that's what's happening to us right now. We're getting real close, and then they just tell us that we're not we're not all that work that you put into this, it's not gonna happen.
SPEAKER_03That is that is a sad part of that movie. That in the world of that movie, no one cared. Like they wouldn't even broadcast the moon anymore because it was like old news. Um, all right, so Farrah Fawcett. Um this is this one's critical. Dr. Loomis. Yeah.
SPEAKER_19The blackest eyes, the devil's eyes. What was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply evil.
SPEAKER_03Donald Pleasance was so good in this, and he didn't even want to do it, but you know, his daughter told him he should do it because she liked Assault on Precinct 13. And that's the only reason he said he would do it. Yeah, I had no clue. He told John Carpenter to his face, the only reason I'm here is my daughter liked your movie. Really? Wow. Because they wanted Christopher Lee. That's who they wanted for the role. And he uh he passed. Let's let Clint take a crack at this. Uh all right.
SPEAKER_04So uh for Dr. Loomis, uh, I thought uh we need someone with uh, you know, a good deep authoritative voice, uh, a good a good a good build, right? But also, you know, that that intense stare. And uh I think Raymond Burr would be a perfect fit for Dr. Lopez.
SPEAKER_19Real complicated and tricky. Uh I guess murder's like that.
SPEAKER_16No, sir. Murder is usually very simple. It's the getting away with it that's real complicated and tricky.

SPEAKER_04I didn't know where you were going with that. It's like I thought I thought you were about ready to make fun of me here.
SPEAKER_03So well, uh looking at the list, I I don't know of anything that stands out. Um I've always been a fan of Raymond Burr, of course, when I was a little kid, of course, but uh I agree with everything you said. What do you think, Chad?
SPEAKER_02No, I I completely agree. I do want to say in the Rob Zombie version when they had uh Malcolm McDowell or Malcolm McDowell McDowell, yeah. I thought he did awesome as Dr. Green. I I love that role. I so anyway, uh that's neither here nor there. Yes, I also went with Raymond Burr. I felt like it was kind of a slam dunk. Um yeah, it just seemed like a perfect fit for him, honestly.
SPEAKER_03Okay, excellent. And here is the key role. And there may be some disagreement on this, I'm not sure, but we're gonna try to find someone to replace Jamie Lee Curtis as Lori Strode.

SPEAKER_04Please keep the casting the way that we've uh, you know, just went through, but then cast Jamie Lee Curtis for just you know bring her back in in that.
SPEAKER_03I mean, maybe if she passes away between now and production starting. Okay. I don't want to put that out there. Yeah. Um I don't know who goes first. Chad, why don't you go ahead and just let us know what you what you're thinking?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna be opinionated on this one. So um so I mean I yeah, typical. Uh so anyway, on this one, I I I was gonna put a hard no to Clint earlier uh and just try and talk him out of he tried to put Sharon Tate somewhere, and in my opinion, if she's in this film, due to the way that she died, she could only be the final girl uh if she is to be in the movie. She can only be the final girl. I don't know her work that well, um, but I do know her character as and I've seen clips of her movies, obviously, but like never seen like full films like Valley of the Dolls. I've never seen it. Um, however, I have seen uh Margot Robbie playing her in today's masterpiece Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And uh I'm sure that I'm sure that Margot Robbie did a ton of research for that role, and I just believe in my heart of hearts that she could kill this role. I mean, absolutely crush it. But I'm I'm open to suggestion, it's just one of those things that, like, if she was in this film, I think she'd have to be the the the final gal.
SPEAKER_03So I I agree, and you took the words right out of my mouth, Chad. It would be distasteful to cast her in any other role other than the final girl. Um, so I agree. I think she would be great in this. I don't have too much else to say about it. Uh, I think this one was again, this was the very first one I did uh back when I wanted to do the list my way, which was top to bottom. And she's the first person I chose, and I think that's the I think that's I think that's the way to go. How about you, Clinton?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I I went a little different direction, but totally get it, and uh fully uh full fully will back that uh that decision. I I went with Natalie Wood on this, and uh and I'll I'll explain why, I guess, uh in a couple things here. But uh if you think about like uh her role in Rebel Without a Cause, uh you know, she's she's fighting back in in that movie. Uh and then same thing, like with uh she kind of gives that uh last stand kind of energy and west side story as well. Um and uh so I I just I thought she'd be a a great fit for for this role. Yeah, she would be.
SPEAKER_02She would be for sure. In my mind, I did I did plug her in there a couple times just to see. Um I I didn't get that vibe from her on uh uh the uh Rebel without a cause, so that's why I I was thinking more of the West Side story version, and I think, yeah, that makes sense there. Uh the Rebel Without a Cause, I just I don't I I don't really remember her in there at all. I feel like she was ahead of forgettable role, so that's why I went a different route. But I she was my second my second choice.
SPEAKER_03So she was my second choice as well. Yeah. And if things don't work out with Sharon Tate, we have a backup, Natalie Woods. She would be great. I mean, that's that's not a problem. Well, I tell you what, let me let me look at this. Here's the here's the list in uh reverse order. Um we've got Michael Myers, the prime, Michael Myers Prime, uh being played by Elvis Presley. Okay. We got young Michael Myers being played by River Phoenix. We get Judith Myers being uh hacked and slashed. We're gonna go with Don Wells on that. Um happy about that. Uh Lindsay Wallace, Heather O'Rourke, obvious. Tommy Wallace, Corey Haim, obvious. Sheriff Brackett, Dennis Farina, amazing. Yeah, that's the way to go.

SPEAKER_03There's no one else on this list that I would rather see than that. Um you've got Annie, uh, played by Britney Murphy. I think that's the right choice. Uh we got Linda. I'm glad that someone picked Farrah Fawcett. I don't know why I overlooked that. That's that's obvious as well.

SPEAKER_04If you look at at this cast compared to, you know, maybe, maybe uh the government didn't like how we took some uh I would say we took a lot of creative uh liberties Star Wars and Star Trek, right? Yeah, we did. We did. And and I think with this one, I think we probably stayed within the guardrails of of what John Carpenter wanted in this movie, right?

SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh, we can come up with a lot of cool scenarios with Wis Presley as Michael Myers. That would be awesome. Oh, hold on, hold on. I got a text. Okay. Uh what the hell is this? Uh okay. There's two new roles to be cast added to the film. Um, okay. What's this say? Okay, well, okay, well, I guess they're expanding the cast. Uh they got two new characters they want to write into this film. One is what the hell? Get this. Jimbo Big Face Walker. Uh he was he was Michael Myers' only friend in the institution. So I guess they're expanding the Danny Trejo still alive. That's the quote first my first question. Um I'm I'm looking at this list, and there's only one male left, and it's Mickey Rooney.
SPEAKER_14Can you imagine, Mick, you've spent $180,000 on wedding pictures.
SPEAKER_13I've been married so many times, I've got rice marks in my face. I'm the only guy you know. That has a marriage license made up the home at my concern.
SPEAKER_04I immediately went to uh Gomer Pyle, by the way. Like when when you said that, like that's who I am picturing. Big face? Like Vincent Vincent D'Nafrio. Yeah, Vincent Dinah D'Anofrio. Like that that's who, like, I don't know why, but that's where my that's where my mind went.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Okay, well, I I guess this choice is made for us because there is only one male list. Mickey Rooney. And it's Mickey Rooney.
SPEAKER_02I think he could do that role though. Honestly, I don't I don't hate that. I mean, I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I feel like he'd be the Yeah, because he you could either do the young version of him or the older version, like a mentor kind of thing, I guess.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess I was thinking that I was thinking the young version. Um, and I'm thinking of uh, you know, some this is a little bit goofy type of thing that uh, you know, I mean uh uh what's the word I'm looking for here? The the um oh the green mile, uh the French dude in there, you know, oh right, right, right. You know, like I feel like I could see him being that kind of guy uh in for for Michael Myers. Yeah, maybe Michael Myers has a soft spot for him of some sort.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, boy, that poor guy.

SPEAKER_03Um well this one here, there's the other the next one is the next role to fill is Marilyn Myers, Michael Myers' aunt, who is a former CIA assassin.

It's actually funny because uh of that list, it's funny you Just said Erin Moran, I gotta look her up because that's actually who I was thinking about. Because I feel like she she gives, like if you look at her with her really dark hair and everything, like she gives like assassin ant vibes, you know? Like she give like sheer appearance here. I just feel like she gives me the uh the the assassin ant vibe CIA ant vibes.
SPEAKER_02I've I've never heard that before in my life, but is she age appropriate?
SPEAKER_03I'm guess she was. I worked with Aaron. She was Aaron was in a movie of mine, and uh she there is an edge to her. Yeah, there is an edge to her. Um but who else we got here? We got Elizabeth Montgomery. Dana Platoh, I don't see that at all. No, so Dana Plato will scratch that. Elizabeth Montgomery, possibly. Possibly. Natalie Woods, I don't know if she gives off assassin vibes. You guys may disagree.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I mean, I I guess if we're looking for an ant role, uh I don't know about a assassin. I I don't hate the Elizabeth Montgomery idea.
SPEAKER_03I think when I I that makes more sense to me as an ant.

SPEAKER_03You know what I mean? Uh but I'm I'm open. I'm open to Aaron Moran or Elizabeth Montgomery. I like them both.
SPEAKER_02This could be the critical point point here. That the you know, this could be the make or break for us on getting this thing passed.
SPEAKER_03So we don't we don't know what this character is or what she's gonna do. I have no information about it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, she's her okay, so she's a CIA assassin. Is she do we do we picture her as and I think this is probably where we need to go. This is the way we need to think about this. If we're going if she is a reason why Michael is a uh killer and the way if she's a part of this, if she had something to influence his current personality, then I think I we are right with Clint's uh uh uh assumption of Joni. If she is someone that's going to help Dr. Loomis and Lori Strode try and track him down, I think Elizabeth Montgomery. And I don't know if that's right or not, but that's the way my brain works right now thinking of this.
SPEAKER_03You know what? I can't. I like not having seen the new script, it makes more sense that she is an active participant working alongside Dennis Verena. That's the kind of way I'm thinking too. But I'm I'm leaning toward Elizabeth Montgomery, to be honest.
SPEAKER_04I I I like that. I I and and I I just uh I just looked her up again just to get like a visual image. And and she she looks like somebody that could be like, you know, wearing like the uh the pantsuit CIA style, you know? Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So one one of the things one of the problems that I have with the Halloween movie is the original, is the fact that they don't really go into Michael's past more than that than what Dr. Loomis hat says about knowing him from the time he was six years old until whatever. Um and maybe maybe if we had the aunt in there, she could uh help shed some backstory on on him through some flashbacks or storytelling of her own and say, Oh yeah, I've known this kid. Uh I've known that he was gonna be a problem since whatever. Because uh because all the Dr. Lubis just keeps saying he's a he's evil, pure evil, and there's nothing behind his eyes and all that stuff. But it's but it's like but we never really know what I mean. Why?
SPEAKER_04What would it seem? Or her CIA trials is what actually led him to be as evil as what he is. Hmm. She's trying to cover her tracks.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we have a you put it you put a twist in it already? Yeah, yeah, you know. Oh, it was it was Elizabeth Montgomery the whole time. It was the ant.
SPEAKER_03The ant did it. Okay, well, I guess, yeah, let's just say Elizabeth Montgomery for this. Yeah, I don't see I don't see why not. Um hope they don't buzz me again. I don't wanna there's nobody left on this list. Yes. So um Jimbo Big Face Walker. Uh I don't know who's writing this script, but um yeah, interesting. All right, cool. All right, so that means that we have Sharon Tate, Raymond Burr, Farah Fawcett, Brittany Murphy, Dennis Farina, Corey Haim, Heather O'Rourke, Don Wells, River Phoenix, Elvis Presley, practically this whole damn list. Um and then we got um Elizabeth Montgomery, and we've got Mickey Rooney. Good lord. Now that's a cast. That is a cast. All right, well, geez, fellas. All right, well, that didn't take very long. They they've got to like this. They've got to like this. I sure think so. Because honestly, we used almost everyone that they sent us on this list. So unless they had and and everybody seems so obvious, so I I can't imagine that they're gonna have a problem with this. If they do, I'm gonna retire.
SPEAKER_04We may have broke a record here, John. I I didn't keep track, but uh I think that we had like three, four, or five that we actually all all three of us agreed on.
SPEAKER_03I'll be honest, the only one uh that's that did not make my list was the Dana Plato uh Ferra Foss. Everything else is what I had written down.

SPEAKER_03You know? Okay, cool. To your point, Chad, I one of the reasons I like Halloween is because you don't know the backstory of one of the one of the reasons people one of the reasons that people kind of get on to the franchise later is that they were trying to explain too much. Like I know Rob Zombie kind of took a hit by trying to explain too much. You know? Um, but hey, it was his movie. I guess he can do whatever he wants. But I'm a big fan of the Halloween series. Even though some of them I know aren't great. I like them. I like them. I like them all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I don't disagree. I do as well. Um I think that uh John, can you tell me what how like in in John Carpenter's uh catalog, where did this one like where was this one of his first films or where was this on his it was his third.
SPEAKER_03It was his third. And after Halloween, then his career was really off and running. And this dude did just great movie after great movie after great movie, you know, for 15, 20 years. So, you know, one of my favorite.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know he is. That's why that's why I figured you'd have the answer for that. Um one of the reasons I asked is because I was thinking, you know, this cast didn't have a ton of star power really.
SPEAKER_03Jamie Lee Curtis, she was still uh kind of an unknown.
SPEAKER_02Correct. And I feel like that's kind of where where most of these characters were, and I'm trying to think if that's correct or not. Um but none of them had a huge career at this point.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, other than Donald Pleasants, who was, you know, English actor for a long time, he was their big get, you know, on the film. Uh a lot of people think Jamie Lee Curtis's casting was stunt casting because she's the daughter of Janet Lee from Cycle. You know? So, I mean, she's had to deal with that, but who cares? She was great. She was great as uh Lori Strode. I'm a I'm a big fan of Jamie Lee Curtis.
SPEAKER_02Me too. Uh we we have in our our our friend chat, uh a friend of mine and I have a constant um once in a while I just send out a mess a picture of Jamie the Curtis because as far as an older gal goes, I think she is spoken on to this day. Like I I I got a thing for Jamie the Curtis to this day. True lies. I was gonna say true lies. I can't get over it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was that was amazing. Anyway, I guess we're gonna wrap this up, guys. I'm gonna send this out. And I tell you what, if they if they have a problem with this, I don't know.
